The COES is opened and now facing 12 years now at Samsung-Dong, Gang-Nam-GU, Seoul. Floating population is over 200,000 people and this mall is largest shopping mall in Korea and business facilities are concentrated in this region and the area is 464,000m2. This COES is consisting of World Trade Center, underground shopping mall, convention center, business buildings, hotel, department store and airport terminal. The safety and protection of facility and floating population is the main issue. Never doubt, the situation needs to be in security.
Our M R ENGINEERING’s Lighting Control System is operating for 12 years expect on Hotels and Department store but all the others (Convention center, business facility, shopping mall and terminal) are installed with out Lighting Control System. The maintenance contract has been operating for once a month and the regular system inspection and also the performing perfect lighting control system by administrator who is practiced perfectly with our system awareness. This place is also installed with LCP that has stable and perfect Stand-Alone function at each of EPS room. Each control panel is managed with 3 steps of protection. Even when the main monitoring panel is having trouble, the independent CPU from LCP and relay that can be controlled by manual switch and other is operating under 3 steps of protection. The newly product that has been improved is installed and managed by each area’s feature. To existing system, the UPGRADE system is easy to be combined. Our New Product, the STS (Smart Touch Switch) is multi-function switch and it is expected suitably for re-installation.
Oh-Song Life Science Valley
The Oh-Song Life Science Valley is located at Oh-Song village, Cheong-Won-Gun, Chungbuk-Do region. It completed at October, 11, 2010 and the six national organization (Food & Drug Organization, Food & Drug Safety Evaluation Organization, Disease Control and Prevention Center, National Institutes of Health, Health Industry Development Institute and Institue of Health & Welfare Organization) under the Department of Health & Human Service Administration is successfully moved to this valley. Total area is 400,245m2 and working personnel is 2,400 people.
Our ILC System is currently installed & managed by configuration of 2,000 switches and 10,000 relays in 16 buildings. Especially, the each fluorescent light of general testing lab and animal testing lab has individual ADDRESS to manage the DALI system for each lighting’s dimming control. It controls the brightness of lighting and provides the optimal conditions for each experiment.
Also, the facility operators as national institutes are expert at managing the Smartrol which is the lighting control software at PC and always monitoring the sites of each 15 buildings from central control room.

Our system is configured with electric, lighting and facility control system. Our company’s MMI of Smartrol is interfacing every system and also the electric control system is interfacing with other company’s product (GIPAM and GIMAC from LS electrics). The lighting control system is configured with GE relays to control the view lightings and inside of buildings. The facility control system is configured with VERSAMAX PLC and RX3i of GE PLC. It is monitoring and controlling the heating system and HVAC system inside of building.
It supports the graphic registration & Smartrol point smoothly after extending the points of lighting control and GE PLC through exchanging ideas, several years of management know-how and training with management team.
Sindorim D-Cube City
The D-Cube city is located at Sindorim subway station where the subway 1 line and 2 line is near and the culture complex space that has hotel, residents room, culture, restaurant and park. Also this is configured with 8 AC of various theme space, art center (that has 1,300 seats) and D- Cube APT and office and also the first class Seoul D-Cube City hotel for business and hybrid shopping mall that connects with nature space and circular building. Like above, it emerged as new land mark of west-south area of Seoul that can solve the low shopping & restaurant
We have constructed with local relay (LR9P) for the indoor lighting control for D-Cube office (9th ~ 25th floor) and entire public place of D-Cube APT (51th floor) and the lighting control of 15th floor of office is running with touch switch and DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) controller. The electric control system is controlling and monitoring with GE digital meter (EPM 5500) and GE protection relay (F 650) which provided the main power from cogeneration plant inside of D-Cube City. The area of resort is 1,480,000m2 and the area of amusement park is 30 square meters. It opened as country’s first family natural plantation park since April, 1976. After March, 1996, it renamed as EverLand. Currently, the entire EverLand is under management of our Lighting Control System and about 212 panels are controlling the entire lighting at EverLand (amusement park) and Caribbean Bay (water park). Especially, the EverLand is under control by Ethernet communication line for 40EA of lighting control panels and the Caribbean Bay is under control for 70EA of lighting control panels. Also the Globe pair has 40EA of lighting control panels. The electric heater, outdoor fountain and air-conditioner are managed by time schedule which is connected to our lighting control relay. The facility operators are expert at controlling the entire EverLand with our lighting control and also the electric heater and air-conditioner. Recently, we have delivered our product to additional construction part of EverLand.
Su-Won, Hwa Seong Palace
The UNESCO World Heritage SIte of Su-Won, Hwa Seong is area of 130ha and the length reaches about 5.7km. Our lighting control is controlling the Su-Won, Hwa Seong and also at the inside of palace is under management of our lighting control system.
Currently, the entire 44 EA panels are controlling the Su-Won, Hwa Seong and the Palace is controlling 10 EA panels. The communication is connected for wireless method to solve the problems of failure of communication due to distance. Before our lighting control is managing the place, the operators are needed to walk all over the place and palace but after our lighting control system is constructed, they can control the system from the controlling building with simple operation of computer. Also because the Su-Won, Hwa Seong is located at outdoor, it uses the sunset / sunrise time schedule to control the lighting. We have delivered the products for additional construction recently.
Doo-San We’ve The Zenith, Haeundae, Bu-San
Item : Electric and Lighting Control (1,546 points) The Doo-San We’ve The Zenith is the tallest building in country and located at Bu-San. The We’ve The Zenith is the complex resident building and it is the 5th floors to underground and 70th and 80th floors to top and also it is the consist of 3 buildings. The A, B and C buildings and public area and outdoor lighting in under control of our lighting system which has the 1,564 points of relays. The outdoor lighting & scene lighting is operated by schedule and it gives the convenient and efficient to operators.
The HomePlus is the large discount store that is the second biggest one in Korean discount market. Our company has installed and constructed the lighting control at 50 HomePlus stores including An-Dong, Go-Yang Terminal and recently opened Bu-San stores. In condition of large store, when black out, many causalities happens due to lighting’s OFF because of that, from the beginning time of designing the building, must consider to install the lighting control that can provide the Light’s On / Off control by Stand-Alone function. Our system is perfectly recognized at this kind of situations and has been installed on many stores. Also, it controls the outdoor street light and advertising light by sunset / sunrise time from our own S/W Smartrol and also through the photo-sensor, it controls the halogen light that is installed at escalators and other various lighting to save the energy.
An-Dong Store : Lighting Control System, Point (RELAY) : 781, Control Card (SRCC48) : 24
In early 2014, we have received the order of Sejong City Government Ofﬁce which is the largest project of government project from PPS. We have win the bidding for area 1 & 2 of Sejong City Government Ofﬁce through proposal by negotiating with public procurement service (PPS) and our company name has been widely known to people once again.
In 2014, we have become one of the leading Lighting Control Company in S.Korea. While our competitors stick to the old system and lower the price to concentrate on ordering, we invested in the development of technology and new technology rather than the amount and in result, we received the order by winning the bid with our proposal from negotiating with PPS. This caused the impact to market. This project started the construction with this result, with the step-by-step and accurate material supply and installation we have successfully completed the construction. Therefore, we were able to keep the promise of the perfect construction of the technology and installation and commissioning proposed in the proposal. As a result, we were able to comment of the success story of this project in our autumn seminar. With the agreement between the promise and execution, this project will remain as scene of successful Lighting Control.
We have participated in the 1st and 2nd phase of Sejong City and also accomplished the smooth process and precise construction on the 3rd stage construction. We have installed the products and technologies with more ideas, so that we could operate with more convenient Lighting Control System.
For 3-1 stage, there are 658 points for ON/OFF, 38 EA of Lighting Control Panels, 128 EA of Program Switches, 76 EA of Photo Sensors, 120 EA of DALI Masters, 40 EA of DALI Switches, 80 EA of Smart Touch Switches and 5,496 EA of DALI Dimming Modules are installed. For 3-2 stage, there are 1,440 points for ON/OFF, 58 EA of Lighting Control Panels, 245 EA of Program Switches, 137 EA of Photo Sensors, 155 EA of DALI Masters, 402 EA of DALI Switches, 108 EA of Smart Touch Switches and 6,919 EA of DALI Dimming Modules are installed.
Our DALI Dimming Module is conﬁgured as independent system in the world-wide, this project is one of most installed projects from our company. Our DALI System technology will be evaluated as the technology that no one cannot ignore. The DALI communication that developed from Europe was successfully operated and installed by our company in big project in Korea but it is not yet known in the world market. Gradually our result with DALI Project has been spreading and recognized through-out the world market these days. Our ELC System & SmarTrol Software can communicate with more than 10,000 points of Dimming Modules without no problem and our technology can check the monitoring status & maintenance status and we assume no one cannot prove this outcome by performance. We are able to ﬁnd the value of this project as our perfect performance.
Lotte World Tower
The 2nd Lotte World is the project to be established as a Landmark Building
in Korea. The low floors were completed and opening was last Oct 13 ~ 15,
we have made every effort to check the Lighting Circuits and Lighting
Fixtures for this project for Perfect Opening.
In Oct 13, 2014, the Avenue Department was opened and in order, the other department
such as Shopping and Entertainment was opened and showed its merits to the public. With the luxurious interior decorations and outlines of luxury stores are revealed to show its true value. Despite the fact that tower is still under construction, it is becoming a popular spot for many regular customers and tourists. It was obvious that many related and many partner companies made their efforts to complete the construction.
In early 2013, our Lighting Control System was selected as lowest bid in the bidding
between Lotte Construction and the Lighting Control related companies. Along with the
gradual construction of architecture, our system was also delivered in stages and the
examples of special construction from this site was it used the LAN network for the
communication line. The communication line that has been installed at each floor and each area, we have established the communication network through our SCU (System
Communication Unit) that can acts converter for ELC Network. We have installed the 30 EA of SCU to utilize the existing LAN Network as the Lighting Control Communication Line and also we have managed to secure the smooth and quick communication network with the speed of 100MBPS.
Also, as another feature of Lighting Control System, there is no switch installed in the area
where regular customers stay so that light is not turned OFF by people. Our ELC System is able to monitor the status of each relay on each Lighting Control Panel and it was manually operated by facility personal. If necessary, the site control is possible in the nearest electricalroom.
In large store, we have installed additional software for controlling the lighting and also the
remote control is possible by monitoring the status of lighting and graphic screen of entire store itself. From the Central Monitoring Room, Integrated Monitoring Center and Main PC, our Lighting Control System is operated as Lighting Control System capable of simultaneousness remote control and status monitoring to recognized as convenient operating system for the Lotte Facility Team. At early 2015, we started to supply and install the Lighting Control System and at early 2017, we have completed the actual completion. The high-level area of tower also used the data communication network such as IBS (Fiber Optic Network) to establish the data communication for each floor’s Lighting Control Panel.
We have installed the DALI Dimming Module & ON/OFF Control for Office area for each LED Luminaire to control the individual
control for each LED.
Inchon International Airport 2nd Terminal
Incheon International Airport 2nd Terminal is in construction due to to be completed at Sep 2017. We will be supply the all systems by the end of 2016 and from the beginning of 2017, we have left for the commissioning of the system until completion. We have already participated in Incheon Airport for Phase 1, Phase 2 and Transportation Center. Therefore we know very well for the conditions of Incheon Airport Area. The Lighting Control in this area is the infrastructure that considers reliability the most important compared to other buildings. Therefore, the system should be Redundant and Stand-Alone Type control panel structure so that even if there is one failure, it can be replaced it. Also the lighting is needed to be provided due to environment and schedule of the airport where the landing and takeoffs are frequently happened. it is a natural condition that the system should be linked control with the air navigation server. According to the circumstances & conditions, our Lighting Control System provides the following systems and programs with great features. .. First, the Central Monitoring System is conﬁgured as redundant structure so that even if one server fails, it will automatically switches to another standby server. .. Second, each circuit has the current sensing circuit so that each electric power by each electric circuit is provided every 15 mins to BEMS System and Monitoring System. It is used as a monitoring function of the total & individual power loads. .. Third, it is possible to control the schedule according to the sunset/sunrise time.
We did not have to make such an unreasonable task of setting the program for season schedule control every time.
.. Fourth, it is connected at air navigation server to interlock control with Lighting Control for each entrance & exit area. By the various functions and control programs, the Incheon International Airport 2nd Terminal is upgraded for Lighting Control System than existing 1st & 2nd Terminal. Our Lighting Control System is installed at Incheon International Airport 2nd Terminal with reliability. It is expected to see the effect of building value of this facility as energy saving & efﬁcient lighting load management.
