Smartrol OPC
Software for OPC Interface
Overview
OPC (OLE for Process Control) is a standardized communication interface defined by the OPC Foundation.
It enables communication between applications using point-based data exchange.
In other words, it connects data within Windows environments so that linked data is updated simultaneously when modified.
For example, if a graphic created in an OLE-supported program is linked to a document editor, any change in the graphic is automatically reflected in the document.
This mechanism allows seamless data integration between systems.

Feature
The MR lighting control system operates as an independent system and software.
When required, it can interface with facility automation systems or SI servers, enabling centralized monitoring and remote control.
By registering and configuring OPC server connections in Smartrol, system integration can be easily achieved.

Operation
Smartrol 3.1 is installed and operated on a PC running a standard Windows OS.
After installation, the user logs in and configures communication between SCU and PC, selecting server or client mode.
Database data and control scenarios are entered, and programs are downloaded in online mode.
After verifying feedback from each downloaded program, final program updates are applied.
The graphic editor allows simple drag-and-drop placement of circuits from the database onto the graphical interface.
Program activities and events are logged, enabling operators to analyze system performance and load conditions.
